Higgins gets the win

LAST week’s competition at the Lucindale Golf Club was the ‘Shepherds Hill’ Monthly Medal Stroke round generously sponsored by the England family.

Min England, a treasured past member, kindly selected the thoughtful prizes and all recipients were thrilled.

Unfortunately, no one from the family could attend and so the club’s lady patroness Issie Carracher happily presented the prizes.

It was wonderful seeing some of our ‘travelling’ players back at the Lucindale Country Club and hopefully more will return soon.

September Monthly Medal winner was Karena Higgins with a nett 70 and she mentioned her first ever Monthly Medal win was in 2003 and the next one she was disqualified and so she was thrilled to win it again.

Karena was also the A Grade Nett Winner, A Grade Putting Winner with merely 27 & NTP on the 3rd – what a great effort and memorable day.

Nicole Hocking was A Grade Nett runne -up on 71 and had the best gross score of 91, on a countback from Karena.

Cath Macleod was B Grade Nett winner with 78 on a countback from Issie Carracher, both shared the B Grade putting prize with 35 putts and Issie was NTP on the 16th green for two shots.

Sharon Menz was NTP winner on the 16th for A Grade and Rosie Legoe on the 12th.
