Hitting the fairways for a good cause
The Millicent Cancer Support Group hosted a Four Ball Ambrose Competition for golfers and non -golfers at the Millicent Golf Club with 127 players taking to the course.
Volunteers from the Millicent Cancer Support Group cooked a BBQ to feed the hungry golfers throughout play, while Member for Barker Tony Pasin was also on hand on both barbeque and photography duties.
Local businesses and individuals were very generous in supplying items for the post-competition auction, which was conducted by Will Chay, and prizes for the winning teams.
The Millicent Cancer Support Group also served snacks at the conclusion of play.
The fathers/sons combination of Shane and Cade Kelly and Josh and Brayden Rowe were the winners of the Ambrose Competition with a nett 52.5
Runners up were Jamie Bellinger, Simon Beggs, Stephen Kuhl and Clark Falting – nett 53.75.
Third place went to Brad Tilley, Cameron Haggett, Darryn Tilley and John Facey – nett 54.
