Kessegian produces shooting perfection

The Mount Gambier Gun Club held its monthly competition on Saturday in fine and sunny conditions with some slight winds later in the day.

The dedicated shooters were able to obtain some high scores and shoot offs were needed to decide some of the winners.

The opening event was the AVIS Car Rentals 50 Tgt Balltrap Championship.

Warren Lindner 44/50 and Gavin Height 44/50 shared AA grade, Jeremy Kent 45/50 took out the A grade from Greg Kessegian 44/50, Darren Murrell top scorer of 47/50 won B easily from Hayden Megaw 43/50 and Troy Crouch 41/50 won C grade from Shannon Megaw 38/55.

The BRANDT 25 Tgt Pointscore Championship was up next with this event requiring concentration and accuracy and shoot offs needed to ascertain the winners.

Andrew Hoare 104/108 just won AA from Tom Jenkins 103/108, Greg Kessegian 73/75 took out A from Hayden Megaw 85/93, Brian Spring 77/84 won B from Dale Robertson 74/84, whilst Reece Fleming 73/75 in fine form just outshot Wally Wombwell 68/75 to take out C grade,

The Mount Gambier Hotel 25Tgt Club Continental Championship was the last event and the overall winner after a shoot off with a perfect score of 59/59 was Tom Jenkins also taking out the AA grade from Warren Lindner 58/59, Greg Kessegian with a perfect 25/25 easily won A from Ken Atkin 23/25, Brian Spring 23/25 just edged out Shannon Megaw 27/30 to win B and Reece Fleming with a perfect 25/25 won C from Wayne Evans 23/25.

The South East Autotrade Highgun over the three events was successfully won by Greg Kessegian with a good score of 142/150.

The Black Crow Club gained two more donors this shoot being Andrew Hoare and Dougal Simson.

The competition held between the Burrungule Field and Game club and the Mount Gambier Gun Club being held at each club was eventually won by the Mount Gambier Gun Club 1136/1500 to 1071/1500 with Ken Atkin taking out the Highgun 128/150..

The Club has practice every Friday afternoon and the next competition, the ZZ Championships will be held on Saturday, November 23
