Life members inducted as seasons closes

Closing Day, held at Robe Bowling Club, was a very special day for the club with two members awarded life membership for their incredible service to the club.

Valma Jennings and Dean Burgoyne have given so much to the club and thoroughly deserve the distinction.

The day began with 12 ends of bowls with the winners, David Robinson and Heidi Gribble taking the honours with Barry Bennett, Gordon Brown and Carolyn McCusker coming in second just one point behind the winners.

After the AGM was completed a beautiful afternoon tea was served and the season was dissected every which way with many promises that next year will be much better and very different.
