LAST week was a stableford competition at the Lucindale Golf Club, kindly sponsored by Geared Up Hair & Beauty, who has been a consistent supporter of the club.

The ‘Wendy Wilson Sugar Bowl’ was given to the best stableford score of the day and members were thrilled Gay Lane was able to present this coveted bowl in memory of her late mother, Wendy Wilson who was a valued member of the club.

Four years ago, Gay found this sugar bowl in her mother’s cupboard, and it still held a prize card from the golf club.

Cath Macleod scored 38 points and was thrilled to be the fourth recipient of this silver bowl in memory of a beautiful lady who loved her golf.

After a huge previous week at golf, it was wonderful to see 15 players enjoying our great course but not the wild westerly winds.

Eliza Handbury was the A Grade Winner with 37 points on a countback from the inform Karena Higgins.

Cath Macleod was the B Grade winner with 38 points, a reflection of her playing more regularly and with talent galore.

Judy James was B Grade runner up with 37 points.

Nearest to the Pin winners on the 3rd and 12th was Sharon Menz who played well scoring 35 points despite three wipeouts.

Michelle Justin was NTP on 16th in A Grade & Issie Carracher in B Grade.

This week is the October Monthly Medal competition kindly sponsored by Menz Harvesting.
