Makin goes back-to-back

THE Kowree Naracoorte Tatiara Netball Association Presentation Day was held on September 14 with Keith’s Sophie Makin taking out the A grade best and fairest from Charlee Taheny (Kybybolite).

Makin (pictured) won her second straight A grade best and fairest with 21 votes, from Taheny 19 votes, while third was Jessica Bittner (Border Districts) 18 votes.

Makin was also the winner of the Rhonda Kellock Memorial Award for the most votes by an Under 21 player in the A grade.

Trudy Lane and Melanie Gear (both from Lucindale) were joint best and fairest in the A Reserves with 21 votes.

Equal runner ups were Katherine Mott (Naracoorte) and Mia Dowling (Mundulla) 17 votes and equal most consistent were Catherine Ledo and Belinda Sinclair (both from Naracoorte) 16 votes.

Border Districts’ Aleisha Rintoule was the winner in the B Grade with 22 votes. Runner up was Laticia Dick (Keith) 21; joint Most consistent were Dayna Jolly (Bordertown, Noni Obst (Mundulla) and Kasey Venables (Padthaway) 18.

The C Grade award went to equal winners Emma Doulton (Border Districts) and Madeline Moss (Kybybolite) 24 votes. Equal Runner ups were Rebecca Christie (Kingston) and Jessica Turnbull (Keith) 19; most consistent Elyssa Hausler (Keith) 15.

JUNIOR AWARD WINNERS:

Division 1: Best and fairest, Georgie Midwinter (Naracoorte) 32 votes; runner up Tori Evans (Keith) 23; most consistent, Mackenzie Burke (Border Districts) 22.

Division 2: Best and fairest, Elsie Orton (Padthaway) 24 votes; runner up, Pippa Morcom (Keith) 23; most consistent, Jessica Zwart (Kingston) 20.

13 & Under A: Best and fairest, Kristal Evans (Keith) 24 votes; runner up, Jorja Walker (Naracoorte) 23; most consistent, Lillian Wiese (Mundulla) 21.2025
