Millicent crowns its triples champions
Millicent Bowls Club kicks off its annual club championship events
On Sunday , October 8, the Millicent Bowls Club held their Annual Triples Championships. All games up until the grand final were played over 15 ends with the grand final played over 18 ends.
In the ladies, six teams took part in the competition with the grand final being contested between Robin Rolf, Carol Gibbs, mac macdonald, and Joy Warren, Elaine Goode and Sarah Ross, with Sarah’s team coming out Triples Champions for 2023/24 season.
In the Men’s Triples Championship, 10 teams took part, with the grand final being contested between the teams of Jim Campbell, John Scudds and Kym Stewart, up against, reigning Triples Champions, Steve Skeer, Aaron Emonson and Ben Masters. At the 13th end the scores were sitting at 12 all but then the Masters team was able to break away winning the next five ends, giving them the honour of back to back Triples Champions of the Millicent Bowls Club for 2023/24 Season.
