Mount Gambier duo win championship
ON Monday, June 23, the Ladies District Foursomes event was played at Penola Golf Course.
Eight teams played off for the Champion of Champions Trophy having won their respective club’s foursomes event earlier in the year. A further 16 teams of two played off on the day with all clubs represented.
Winners of the 2025 Foursomes Trophy with 87 off the stick were Jessica Parsons and Leanne Hunt from (pictured) Mount Gambier Golf Club with runners up Lynette Watson and Alex Lambert, from Millicent, with a 91 off the stick. Jessica and Leanne also took out the best gross score of the day.
Mary Winser and Kirsty Bailey from Millicent were runners up with 92 off the stick.
Alex and Lynette won the Nett Trophy with nett 73.5 while Kylie Grundy and Fionna McInnes from Lucindale were runners up with 75.5 nett.
Nearest the Pin prizes went to Elaine Morrow from Kingston and Anne Dawes from Bordertown.
The longest combined drive went to Alex Lambert and Lynette Watson.
