Marshall making his mark with 36ers in lead up to NBL1
In exceptional news for the Castec Rural Pioneers, the club has re-signed emerging star 23-year-old, Nick Marshall.
Marshall continued to improve during his second season with the Pioneers in 2022, becoming a keyplayer, averaging 21.46 points per game with a 50.25% success rate shooting from the field, together with more than eight rebounds per game. His performance earnt him recognition as the team’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) for the 2022 Season.
Marshall is currently in his second year as a contracted development player with the Adelaide 36ers and has significantly increased court time with the 36ers from 2021-22 season, highlighting his continued improvement.
Marshall is an important signing for the Pioneers and head coach Richard Hill was ecstatic he was returningnext season.
“It’s great to have our 2022 MVP returning and even better being able to announce this after he’s had a career high 15 points for the 36ers,” Hill said. “Nick brings a rare versatility and athleticism to our team. His improvement and rise comes as no surprise as his work ethic is outstanding and a tremendous example to his teammates.”
The Castec Rural Pioneers and the OneFortyOne Pioneers will commence their NBL1 South campaigns in April next year.
