New face debuts

THERE was a new face on court for the Castec Rural Supplies Mount Gambier Pioneers Men on Anzac Day with Amarco Doyle joining the playing roster.

A product of the College of Southern Idaho, Amarco built a strong resume in the US college system, earning All-Conference First Team JUCO honours in his most recent campaign.

Returning to Australia in 2024, he played a pivotal role in leading the Mackay Meteors to an NBL1 North Championship, while also being named North Youth Player of the Year

In 19 games with Mackay, Amarco averaged 8.3 points, 3.2 rebounds and shot an impressive 62.3% from the field and 40.5% from three, proving to be a consistent and efficient contributor off the bench.
