AFTER the cancellation of the 2nd Round of the Ary Sports Bar and Bistro Summer Cup, that will be rescheduled, due to the expected extreme high temperatures the 3rd Round was played last Wednesday at the Blue Lake Golf club in much cooler weather.

The par competition saw some excellent scores recorded and the score of the day came from Division Two’s Janine Dunn signing for +2 .

Women’s handicapper Dianne Perryman was the best for Division One.

Playing off 19 she was able to finish all square after turning to the back nine three down then able to produce five par pluses coming home coupled with five pick-ups overall taking the top voucher.

Josie Ashby and Helen Stratford were close on Perryman’s heals after they posted -1 resulting in a countback with second spot going to Ashby.

They are both off a 21 handicap and enjoyed each other’s company on the course with Ashby having par pluses on the 9th, 11th and 14th adding a plus on the 18th. Stratford had par pluses on the 1st, 5th 14th and 15th and also a plus on the 18th. Both had four pick-ups overall.

Janine Dunn’s win in division two off her 35 handicap included four pluses and a par plus on the 14th with consistent scoring of +1 on both nines and a couple of pick-ups marred what could have been an even better score.

Dunn did add to her prizes winning chocolate bars for chip-in ferrets on the 3rd and 6th holes as well as the weekly money card winner to finish off a great day.

Lee Anderson was all smiles with her +1 score off her 38 handicap.

Her scorecard included six pluses with a par plus on the 11th unfortunately six pickups had her wondering what could have been.

Bev Pascoe was third on the podium scoring -1 off her 30 handicap having two pluses along with a par plus on the 2nd hole, three pick-ups and the rest all halved holes.

Nearest to the pin 2nd shot on the 16th winners were Geraldine Scott (.24cm) and Trudy-Anne Doyle (2.55cm).
