Olympian headlines State Title preparation for local cyclists
The Limestone Coast Regional Sporting Academy cyclists honed their skills under the watchful eye of Olympian Brett Aitken earlier this month as they put the final touches to their State Title preparation.,
Focusing on essential techniques for track racing and engaging in simulated state title events, the training weekend marked one month to the South Australian championships.
Aitken, who achieved Olympic glory in the 2000 Sydney Games, was impressed with the talent and commitment displayed by the Limestone Coast riders during the training sessions.
Assisting Aitken in shaping these emerging talents was James Kelly, with Kelly’s expertise complementing Aitken’s guidance, providing the riders with a well-rounded training experience.
Notably, the local coaching duo from Limestone Coast, Rob Mann and Matthew Opperman, were also on hand at the training camp, working in tandem with Aitken and Kelly to finetune the riders’ skills.
