Oscar is back in black
Oscar Adams is set to be back in black (and yellow) signing with the Glenelg Football Club for the 2024 season.
The former South Gambier junior, who spent played plenty of junior football with the SANFL Tigers was thrilled to be back in his home state.
“I’m stoked to be back at the Bay and hoping I can help contribute to another great season in 2024,” Adams said.
He joins the Bays following a two-year stint at St Kilda, taken in the 2021 national draft as a tall defender.
Throughout his time at the Saints, Adams played eight games for Sandringham. He is keen to continue developing his craft with the strong Bays’ squad under the guidance of premiership coach Darren Reeves.
“We are thrilled that Oscar has decided to come back to Glenelg after two seasons at St Kilda,” Reeves said. “At 198cm and possessing outstanding athleticism and football skill set, we think he is going to add a great deal to our group. We look forward to helping him to continue to develop his game.”
An athletic defender, Adams will enrich the backline for the Tigers providing versatility both aerially and at ground level with his ability to move through the ruck.
