New sponsor for Mount Gambier’s elite basketballers

Both the Castec Rural Pioneers and OneFortyOne Pioneers had the heartache of narrow losses in the recent NBL1 South preliminary finals but there has been some good news for the club.

True local brand, Philadelphia Cream Cheese has come on board as a platinum partner of the club. In a great partnership Mount Gambier’s only sporting teams competing in a national competition will be supported by Australia’s Number 1 and most popular cream cheese brand crafted locally in Mount Gambier for more than 45 years.

The Philly factory in Suttontown produces the equivalent 80 million tubs of cream cheese annually for both the local Australia and export markets.

Plant lead at Suttontown Adam Borchers (pictured above left with Pioneers Basketball Club president Tom Kosch) said for their iconic brand to be involved with the Mount Gambier Pioneers gives our factory team a huge sense of pride, and showcases our ongoing commitment to the local community.

Mount Gambier Pioneers president Tom Kosch was thrilled that the Philadelphia Brand have come on board as a platinum partner of the Pioneers.

“The Pioneers have long enjoyed wonderful corporate and community support in Mount Gambier and having Philly Cream Cheese now supporting us is outstanding for our basketball clu,” Mr Kosch said.

“Philly Cream Cheese is Mount Gambier through and through just like our Pioneers, so the synergy is excellent.

“We look forward to this strong partnership continuing to develop in the years to come.”
