President secures victory at Attamurra
THE weather was cooler and the Mount Gambier Golf Club course was in a great condition after all the recent heat thanks to the ground staff.
PJ Pumps sponsored the day, which was a stroke round, contested by 36 players, with the view to being eligible for the championships.
Elene more ladies contested a stableford round.
It was lovely to welcome back Julie Oldfield for the day,a former club champion and holder of many positions within the club.
In Division 1 club president Heather Teakle was the winner of the Monthly Medal for the day on a countback from runner up Kathy Ewer with a nett score of 72.
Division 2 saw Lyndal McInerney emerge the winner with a nett score of 74 and Kate McCormick was the runner up with a close score of nett 75.
The stableford competition was won by Bev Pedlar with 34 points.
Pro shot on the 8th was Vicki Clark who must have been so excited to watch the ball finish up very close to the hole and got the birdie.
NTP on the 16th saw A Grade go the way of Jennifer Van Rijthoven, B Grade to Lyn Hudson and C Grade to Maxine McGregor.
Jan Shannahan won the putting competition with a great score of 26 putts apparently with 11 putts on the first nine. What a dream for any golfer to achieve.
There were 12 balls in the rundown up to a nett 80.
MARCH 15 RESULTS
It was a par round, sponsored by Griffin Plumbing and with it being another very hot day most of the ladies cancelled for the afternoon with 17 playing in the morning.
Winner was Trudy Johnson with 2up and runner up was Deb Fowler 1up.
