Record fourth season for Reinoehl
Pioneers fans will be celebrating the announcement that 188cm American Haliegh Reinoehl is returning to Mount Gambier for the OneFortyOne Pioneers 2025 NBL1 South season.
Reinoehl will be the first female overseas contracted player to return for a fourth season.
Twenty-six-year-old Reinoehl has now played 68 games in the NBL1 competition as a Pioneer, averaging 13.75 points and 6.90 rebounds per game, proving herself to be an essential member of the team.
Reinoehl was excited to be returning for a fourth season as a Pioneer.
“Mount Gambier is a place filled with my best friends and people who treat me like family,” Reinoehl said.
“Returning for a fourth season feels like I am returning home to play even though I am across the world from my real family.
“The opportunity to play under head coach Matt Sutton again is hard to pass up on.
“Matt’s passion for the game and attention to detail makes him one of the best coaches I’ve had.
“The culture that he creates on each of his teams I have played on is something I want to be a part of.
“ I’m ready to put on black and green for the fourth year in a row. Go Pioneers!”
Head coach Matt Sutton was ecstatic that Reinoehl will be back in Pioneer colours for the 2025 season.
“I’m extremely happy to have Haliegh back for her fourth season at the club,” Sutton said.
“Haliegh is an extremely important part of our program and has become a much-loved person within our community.
“Her professionalism, competitiveness and on court play sets a fantastic example for the rest of the squad.
“Haliegh is currently playing in New Zealand for the Mainland Pouākai with former Pioneer Cassandra Brown. It has been fun to watch them play together again.”
