Seventh singles title for Port MacDonnell’s Heather Richards

Port MacDonnell’s Heather Richards has been crowned the Lower South East Bowls Association Ladies Singles Champion of Champions, securing the title for the seventh time at Robe earlier this month.

Heather defeated Lucindale’s Cheryl Ferguson in the first round and then defeated Mount Gambier bowler Kristy Errock and Naracoorte’s RSL Lindy Mark to reach the final against Jill Preston, of Beachport, who defeated Kingston’s Deb Ogilvie in the semi final to reach the final.

In the final Heather was too strong and consistent again for Jill winning 25-12.
