South East Foursomes won by Blue Lake golfers

The Golf South East Ladies Foursomes Championship was held on June 24 at the Millicent Golf Club played in very cold and icy conditions.

Ten clubs were represented on the day and the eventual Champion of Champions were Ronda Edwards and Karen Panagopolous from the Blue Lake Golf Club with a gross score of 93 of the stick – this was after a three hole play off on the 9th hole.

Not only did the pair take home the beautiful silver salvers donated many years ago they also took out the Handicap Championship event and took home the silver rose bowls with a nett score of 73.

Runners up in the handicap event were Nicole Hocking and Karena Higgins from the Lucindale Golf Club with a nett score of 75.

The winners of the Championship Foursomes gross event was won by Faye Mainwaring and Jessica Parsons from the Mt Gambier Golf Club with a gross score of 93 off the stick after a 2 hole play off with the Millicent duo of Kirsty Bailey and Mary Winser.

Nearest the pin winners were Di Norman/Anne Headlam on the 3rd hole and Elaine Morrow/Colleen Manz on the 17th hole Combined longest drive went to Nicole Hocking and Karena Higgins.

All winners and runners up received K & S Ampol fuel vouchers.
