Spinneroos returns to Mount Gambier

An exciting table tennis program has become available again in Mount Gambier.

Spinneroos will begin an eight-week course exclusively for kids under 13years, aimed at teaching them the skills required to be able to play table tennis.

Each session consists of a warm-up, off and on the table skill building exercises and fun games.

By the end of the eight weeks, your child will have been taught how to serve, hit forehand, backhand and combo shots as well as know the basic rules and scoring of the game.

The course is open to returning participants also, who can further build upon their skills and level-up their game.

Spinneroos is run by local table tennis champion Felix Owusu, a veteran of the sport, who not only knows the secrets of spin and effective gameplay but who also knows how to make learning these secrets fun and interactive.

Felix knows how to effectively engage with children and youth, inspiring drive, dedication and laughter amongst his trainees.

The course will run every Saturday from 9am to 10am in Hall 1 at the Mount Gambier Showgrounds between February 1 and March 22.

It costs $140 for new participants and $115 for returning participants. School sports vouchers can be used to cover the cost of these fees and don’t forget that as of this year, children get 2 x $100 sports vouchers.

New participants also get their very own participant pack which includes a bat and balls in a spineroos bag, as well as a personalised t-shirt.
