Three Limestone Coast sporting groups secure funding

Three Limestone Coast sporting organisations have enjoyed financial windfalls as part of the latest round of the Community Recreation and Sport Facilities Program investments, with 41 projects in total set to receive a boost from the South Australian Government.

Mid South East Netball Association powerhouse Kalangadoo secured almost $170,000 to resurface two multi-use courts at the Kalangadoo Netball Club.

Two unisex changerooms and disabled/unisex toilet facility will be constructed in Naracoorte after the Naracoorte and District Hockey Association courtesy of an almost $90,000 cash injection, while Glencoe Football Club is also set for a makeover with a grant of $50,000.

The club is looking to upgrade its four existing light towers with 150 lux LED lights at the Glencoe Sporting Complex.

The three Limestone Coast grants were part of more than $5.5 million in funding has been allocated to support the upgrade and development of sporting clubs and active recreation facilities.
