The feedback was overwhelmingly positive as the choral and vocal division of the Mount Gambier Eisteddfod took to the Wehl Street Theatre stage at the end of last month.<\/p>\n
The three day competition was adjudicated by Melbourne-based Jessica Chalmers.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Mount Gambier Eisteddfod was so entertaining to watch,\u201d she said. \u201cThere is so much talent here that goes undiscovered and this eisteddfod is one of those rare opportunities where it goes on show.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere will be so many moments that almost or do have you in tears. There is so much passion and dedication from the competitors to create such beautiful work and it needs to be seen.<\/p>\n
\u201cCome along next year to hear beautiful harmonies along with some community spirit or attend the open sections to be completely entertained with songs in the style of Musical Theatre, Jazz, and Pop. Support your local artists and help keep music alive by spending a few hours at the Mount Gambier Eisteddfod.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mainly local competitors took to the stage singing a wide range of genres, expressing themselves artistically while receiving helpful constructive critique to hone their skills from Ms Chalmers.<\/p>\n
Choral and vocal director Natalia Chalinor said Jessica was such a delight to work with and organisers received excellent feedback from competitors and parents on her critique and manner towards them.<\/p>\n
