The Mount Gambier Gun Club held its Monthly competition on August 10 in fine and sunny conditions with some overcast conditions later in the day.<\/p>\n
The dedicated shooters were able to obtain some high scores and shoot-offs were needed to ascertain the winners.<\/p>\n
The opening event was the Green Triangle Livestock and Realestate 25 Tgt Skeet Handicap.<\/p>\n
This was enthusiastically shot with competitors showing off their skills, and it ended with nine competitors in a shoot off to ascertain the winner and placegetters.<\/p>\n
Darren Beyer with a perfect 38\/38 took out the honours with Scott Fleming 39\/40 in second place from Gavin Height 37\/39, fourth place was Jamie Dunn 36\/37, followed by Stuart Bowd 34\/35.<\/p>\n
The Noel Barr Toyota 25 Tgt Club Balltrap Championship was up next and this event that requires quick reflexes and accuracy, was exceptionally well shot.<\/p>\n
After a shoot off Jamie Dunn 66\/69 won overall and AA from Gavin Height 50\/55, Ken Atkin 64\/69 won A from Brian Spring 34\/39, Daniel Robinson 19\/25 just edged out Dale Robertson 18\/25 to win B grade ,Peter Winser 19\/25 just outshot Wayne Evans 18\/25 to take out C Grade.<\/p>\n
The Spot On Fishing and Tackle 30 Tgt Champion of Champions was the last event with shooters applying their accuracy skills in this trying event and after a shoot-off Andrew Hoare 73\/75 won AA from Harry Clark 72\/75, Greg Kessegian 46\/50 won A from Nicola Dunn 44\/50 , Rodney Gilcrist 43\/50 won B and after a lengthy shoot-off Stuart Bowd 84\/100 came in second, Wally Wombwell 40\/50 won C grade from Rob Marcato 38\/50.<\/p>\n
The South East Autotrade Overall Highgun over the three events was won by Andrew Hoare with 93\/100.<\/p>\n
The Black Crow Club gained some more recipients being Wayne Evans, Scott Fleming, Don Pratt and Darren Beyer.<\/p>\n
