Free hard waste days are back in the Naracoorte Lucindale Council area so residents can dispose of household hard waste at no cost on October 28 and November 2 at the Naracoorte Waste Transfer Station.<\/p>\n

The October 26 sessions runs from 8am to 4pm and the November 2 opportunity is between 8am and 2pm.<\/p>\n

Items that will be accepted free of charge are:<\/strong><\/p>\n

TVs & e-waste (place on the top of your load as it is unloaded first)<\/p>\n

Furniture (tables, chairs, wardrobes, beds and mattresses)<\/p>\n

Floor coverings (up to 2 metre lengths)<\/p>\n

Timber off cuts, including pallets (up to 2 metre lengths)<\/p>\n

Dismantled clothes lines<\/p>\n

Blinds and window coverings<\/p>\n

Bikes and toys<\/p>\n

Lawn mowers<\/p>\n

Poly rainwater tanks<\/p>\n

Household quantities of bricks, rocks, dirt, pavers, concrete and building materials<\/p>\n

Dry paint<\/p>\n

Enviro Tec will be onsite to ensure hard waste items are acceptable for disposal. It is important that your load is sorted with similar items together and e-waste on top – the more sorted your load, the quicker it will be to unload.<\/p>\n

In the instance of other waste being delivered, normal rates will be charged as listed in council’s fees and charges guide – https:\/\/bit.ly\/2024fees_charges<\/a><\/p>\n

Items that are not accepted at the Waste Transfer Station (including on the hard waste days) are gas bottles, tyres, car bodies and parts, household chemicals, hazardous waste, treated timber (CCA, creosote).<\/p>\n

Disposal of chemicals and chemical drums is available by appointment only (and not on the hard waste days) by contacting Enviro Tec on 8762 4719 between 9am and 3pm Monday to Friday.<\/p>\n
