Member for Barker Tony Pasin is encouraging the community to embrace the true spirit of Christmas and give to those in need by donating to the Barker Christmas Giving Program.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt has been a tough year for so many members of the community. The cost of living crisis continues to hurt households and unfortunately many families are looking at going without this Christmas,\u201d Mr Pasin said.<\/p>\n
\u201cI am asking local residents, community organisations and businesses who have the means to give back and support families in need by donating unwrapped gifts for children this Christmas.\u201d<\/p>\n
Christmas Giving Trees, kindly donated by OneFortyOne, will be located at each of Mr Pasin\u2019s electorate offices for community members to place their gifts under.<\/p>\n
Office (27 Commercial Street East, Mount Gambier) is open for donations between 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday until Friday, December 13.<\/p>\n
The gifts will then be distributed in the fortnight leading up to Christmas Day through the Salvation Army\u2019s Christmas Cheer Program.<\/p>\n
\u201cNow more than ever, Christmas is a time to show solidarity and compassion to those needing a little extra help in our community.
