<\/p>\nPreparations are well underway for the annual Mt Gambier Christmas Community lunch to be held at the Mount Gambier City Hall on December 25.<\/p>\n
This will be the 12th year providing a meal and festivities for isolated, disadvantaged and financially distressed members of our community.<\/p>\n
The food will be prepared by chef Carrie and served by volunteers, who also help in the food preparation and clean up.<\/p>\n
Last year 170 people which included about 30 children and due to the current economic conditions organisers are expecting more families to attend this year.<\/p>\n
As well as a three-course meal, participants will enjoy entertainment and receive gift bags.<\/p>\n

The organising committee will again be asking the community to support in the collection of shampoo, conditioner, soap , toothpaste, tooth brush and deodorant for the gift bags.<\/p>\n
Collection points will be Mt Gambier Golf Club and Bendigo Bank.<\/p>\n
Registrations are now open on facebook page to book for the day and posters are around various agencies.<\/p>\n
