Recipients of the annual Barker Shield Awards Program have been congratulated by Member for Barker Tony Pasin MP as the school year comes to an end.<\/p>\n

The Barker Shield Awards program is intended to acknowledge three top performing students in each participating school.<\/p>\n

It celebrates excellence in three categories: academic achievement; community service and spirit; and a bespoke category determined by the school.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs Federal Member for Barker, it is a great privilege to be able to formally recognise the valuable contribution of students that are making a difference in their school community and achieving at an eminent level,\u201d Mr Pasin said.<\/p>\n

The student\u2019s positive contribution is permanently honoured through the perpetual Barker Shield, which is displayed in a prominent location at each school.<\/p>\n

Across Barker 22 Senior Schools participated in the 2024 Barker Shield program including the Bordertown High School, Kingston Community school, Millicent High School, Naracoorte High School, Penola High School, St Martins Lutheran College, Tenison Woods College, and Mount Gambier High School.<\/p>\n

\u201cCongratulations to all students for their scholastic and community achievements of 2024, and whether they are continuing study or entering the work force I wish students from all schools across Barker all the best for 2025,\u201d said Mr Pasin.<\/p>\n
