Krystal Dunn has added to her business portfolio, taking over the former Suttontown Road home of Gym Challenge Meals and bringing her homestyle catering to the table with KD\u2019s Rustic Corner.<\/p>\n
It sees the owner of KD\u2019s Deli and Brew Coffee Bar expanding her footprint in the hospitality space in Mount Gambier.<\/p>\n
With a young family to care for, Krystal already has plenty to juggle but she thrives on a challenge and is excited about this new venture, which will officially open its doors on Sunday, January 5.<\/p>\n
\u201cI saw an opportunity too good to pass up and felt passionate about this new venture,\u201d Krystal said. \u201cI\u2019m not sure I should call myself an entrepreneur but I certainly thrive on challenges and growth, and this business aligns with my long-term goals and complements our existing ventures.\u201d<\/p>\n
Those ventures are all about providing quality food and beverages and KD\u2019s Rustic Corner will be doing the same.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur new venture is focused on providing high-quality takeaway meals designed to meet the needs of busy working families, busy singles, and older generations,\u201d Krystal said. \u201cWe\u2019re also excited to offer lunchbox orders, making it easy for people to grab a meal on the go. In addition to this, we\u2019ll be offering catering for toolbox meetings, childcare meeting\/functions, school meetings, office gatherings, and a variety of functions.\u201d<\/p>\n
KDs Rustic Corner\u2019s menu will cover everything from coffee, breakfast, and smoko, to lunch and pre-made, ready-to-eat takeaway meals for dinner.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s all about convenience and quality for our customers and community,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
And you can get your first taste of what this new business will have to offer at the January 5 opening.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are going to turn the opening into quite the little event,\u201d Krystal said. \u201cWe will have music, tables, few outdoor games for the kids, Free babycinos, food samples and more. Come down meet us, meet the staff and let us get to know you all.\u201d<\/p>\n
KD\u2019s Rustic Corner will be open Monday to Friday between 6am and 5,30pm and Saturdays from 8am to 12noon and Krystal is excited about what the future holds, given she now has a wealth of experience in running a business.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve learned the importance of being authentic and real, and not simply following what others are doing,\u201d she said. \u201cOur customers are the heart of our business\u2014they become like family to us, and we want to always take care of them.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve also learnt that administrative tasks are a constant part of running a business. While they may not be my favourite thing, I know I need to stay on top of them more regularly\u2014it\u2019s just part of the job.<\/p>\n
