Since 2005, Stand Like Stone has provided vital support to students in the Limestone Coast returning to school through the Back to School program and twenty years on this year will be no different.<\/p>\n
Stand Like Stone will be providing $50 gift vouchers through the Back to School program and while $50 might not sound like much, being able to give families the gift of a voucher really helps children experience a sense of optimism and belonging.<\/p>\n
The vouchers are used to provide items such as school uniforms, clothing, shoes, school bags and stationery \u2013 or anything that help students feel ready to learn.<\/p>\n
The program is incredibly meaningful and makes a real difference to families across the Limestone Coast. It\u2019s more than a $50 gift. It enables children to return to school with dignity, to fit in with their peers and to experience the sense of excitement that comes with a new backpack, pair of shoes, pencil case or drink bottle at the start of a school year that they would otherwise be unable to afford.<\/p>\n
