THERE\u2019S a smart new way to search for grant opportunities with Glenelg Shire Council\u2019s new digital database, SmartySearch.<\/p>\n

SmartySearch is a customised grants search database, highlighting thousands of government, philanthropic, corporate and foundation grant opportunities from across Australia.<\/p>\n

The database has been embedded into the Glenelg Shire website, creating a \u2018one-stop-shop\u2019 for the community to search for available funding relevant to them.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the current economic climate it can be challenging to secure funding for projects or initiatives. As a result, Council frequently gets approached by groups, individuals or businesses looking for financial assistance that fall outside the scope of our Community Grants program,\u201d said Glenelg Shire Mayor Cr Karen Stephens.<\/p>\n

\u201cSmartySearch alleviates this problem by giving everyone in the community access to an up-to-date, nationwide database of grants.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is no need to research across multiple websites or pay for subscriptions or paywalls. Anyone in the Glenelg Shire can now jump onto Council\u2019s website and search for all live grants, not just offered by Council, but also State, Federal government, non-government and not-for-profit opportunities.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhether you represent a community group, business, not-for-profit, sporting group or school, SmartySearch can give you immediate access to a range of grant options relevant to you.\u201d<\/p>\n
