Please call 8723 2737 or 87251019<\/p>\n<p>This service is not for people who have had a skin check in the last twelve months. If you have had a recent check and still concerned about a spot please visit your Doctor.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A person\u2019s risk of skin cancer can increase with the following factors:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A family member who has had a malignant melanoma<\/p>\n<p>Outdoor occupations \u2013 farmers, fishers, tradies etc.<\/p>\n<p>Five or more moles [not freckles] on your forearms.<\/p>\n<p>Previously had moles removed that were not cancers<\/p>\n<p>Previously had skin cancer<\/p>\n<p>A mole or freckle, which is changing in shape, size or colour.<\/p>\n<p>Fair skin that always burns rather than tans.<\/p>\n<p>Had blistering sunburn as a child enough to stay off school<\/p>\n<p>Any inflamed skin sores that do not heal.<\/p>\n<p>A fifteen &#8211; minute screening may SAVE your<\/p>\n<p>Screeners are health professionals, provided as a service to the community by th Lions Medical Research Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>The project has screened over 29,804 people with a referral rate for Medical Assessment of 21.8%<\/p>\n<p>Attendees are respectfully requested not to wear Makeup, Skin Tanner, Nail Polish, Hair Products or deodorant to your appointment.
