MEMBER for Barker Tony Pasin has announced an elected Coalition Government would commit $220,000 to re-surfacing the courts and upgrading the lighting at the Mt Burr Netball Club.<\/p>\n
Mr Pasin said the Mt Burr Netball Club has been a hub for fostering a passion for netball in the South East for generations.<\/p>\n
\u201cMt Burr Netball Club is a grassroots club with a great culture and I\u2019m pleased to support them with a pledge of funding to assist in improving the functionality and safety of the club\u2019s infrastructure,\u201d Mr Pasin said.<\/p>\n
Mr Pasin said the funding commitment will deliver long-term benefits to the community by boosting participation in grassroots sport.<\/p>\n
\u201cImportantly for the Mid South East, the funding will benefit the sporting champions of the future and reduce barriers to participation for women and girls by improving local sporting infrastructure,\u201d Mr Pasin said.<\/p>\n
Mt Burr Netball Club president Stacey Lowndes said the funding would provide a huge boost to the club\u2019s offering.<\/p>\n
“We are so thrilled that the Mount Burr Netball club has been considered for this funding,\u201d Ms Lowndes said. \u201cThis funding will improve the functionality, safety, and overall experience for players, families, and community members at the Mt Burr Netball Club.<\/p>\n
