The winning entries in each location will be determined by the number of likes (votes) received on the entry image displayed. The most likes will be named the winner, and the second most likes will be the runner up.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEntries will be split into two categories, Portland and surrounds and Casterton and surrounds, so community members will be able to vote for their favourite display closest to their home. Keep an eye out on the Glenelg Shire Facebook page when the voting opens in mid-December for your chance to vote.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI look forward to seeing what creative and colourful designs are used and the collective impact this will have upon our retail precincts across the shire.\u201d Cr Martin also reminded residents to shop locally and help support the region\u2019s business community ahead of the busy Christmas season.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018There are plenty of fantastic shops right here in our backyard for all your presents. Let\u2019s help make everyone\u2019s Christmas great this year by choosing local, and ensuring our business community can continue to thrive,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>2022 Glenelg Shire Retail Window and Light Display Competition entries and photo of entry must be submitted by 5pm Friday 9 December. Online voting by the public will take place between Wednesday, December 14, and Thursday, December 22.<\/p>\n<p>Entrants not located in Portland or Casterton can nominate which section they wish to enter their display into.
