POPULAR Tantanoola footballer and playing coach Jack Dawe was able to celebrate his 100th A Grade match as a Tiger with a hard fought victory over Glencoe.<\/p>\n
Jack\u2019s journey with the club began in 2014 when he was recruited and made his A Grade debut under the guidance of his father Jason Dawe, who was coaching at the time.<\/p>\n
From the outset, it was clear Jack was destined to leave his mark.<\/p>\n
That same year, he was recognised as the MSEFL Phil Scanlon Rookie of the Year, Tantanoola\u2019s Runner-Up Best & Fairest, and Con Brown Memorial Best Under 21 \u2013 a fitting start to what has become a decorated career.<\/p>\n
His quality performances have continued, with Jack claiming the Most Consistent award in 2016.<\/p>\n
After a brief stint away from the club in 2017, Jack returned in 2021 and quickly re-established himself as a key player taking home Runner Up Best & Fairest again.<\/p>\n
Across the course of his 100 games, he has kicked an impressive 131 goals, showcasing his ability as both a goal scorer and a reliable onfield presence.<\/p>\n
His consistent excellence has seen him win back to back club Best and Fairest awards in 2023 and 2024 along with being named the club\u2019s Leading Goal Kicker in 2023.<\/p>\n
Jack\u2019s impact has gone beyond club level, representing the MSEFL in interleague football seven times and competing in two zone carnivals representing Murray South East.<\/p>\n
His performances have earned him multiple MSEFL Team of the Year selections as well as the Neil Von Duve Medal, recognising his all-round contribution to the game.<\/p>\n
A natural leader, Jack has served as both Vice-Captain and Captain of the club.<\/p>\n
Now in his third year as a coach, he continues to shape and inspire the next generation, setting the standard through his example and commitment to the club\u2019s future.<\/p>\n
Under his leadership, the team is playing some of its best football and has started the season strongly, reflecting the hard work and belief he brings to the group.<\/p>\n
Off the field, Jack is a proud family man.<\/p>\n
He\u2019s supported every step of the way by his wife Erin, and his parents Lorey and Jason, who have been by his side throughout the highs and lows of his football journey.<\/p>\n
