{"id":1441,"date":"2022-11-23T11:48:57","date_gmt":"2022-11-23T11:48:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/mtgambiertimes\/?p=1441"},"modified":"2023-11-02T11:57:19","modified_gmt":"2023-11-02T11:57:19","slug":"creating-a-roadmap-of-producers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/mtgambiertimes\/real-estate\/creating-a-roadmap-of-producers\/","title":{"rendered":"Creating a roadmap of producers"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Limestone Coast Food and Agribusiness Cluster to create directory<\/h2>\n<p>The Limestone Coast Food and Agribusiness Cluster is connecting food and beverage businesses, buyers and consumers across the Limestone Coast with the release of a new online directory for the region.<\/p>\n<p>The Limestone Coast Producer Directory is a new interactive tool to connect food and beverage suppliers with consumers and an important tool for retailers, buyers, wholesalers, chefs, caterers, tourism operators and regional events to discover and promote local business and boost awareness of the incredible range and quality of producers in the region.<\/p>\n<p>Limestone Coast Food and Agribusiness Cluster Board chair Danielle England (pictured top right) said the directory provides individual business details, including their provenance story, beautiful imagery and contact information and has been developed through the support of the Limestone Coast Landscape Board, through funding from the Australian Government\u2019s National Landcare Program.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Limestone Coast is a special place; we are proud of the premium quality produce that comes from the land and sea of the region,\u201d Ms England said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSharing this is what drives us and we want to ensure that the region\u2019s produce is well known locally, nationally and internationally. \u201cFrom family farmers, skilled producers, fishing co-ops and highly reputable wine makers, the region\u2019s products have been delighting consumers for decades.<\/p>\n<p>We want to bring a greater spotlight to the Limestone Coast as a flagship food and beverage region, to tell the stories of our producers and connect them to consumers and buyers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Making it easy for the user to find what they are looking for, the Producer Directory categorises the listings to cover beverages; alternative protein; baked goods; bush foods; catering and food services; chocolate and confectionery; dairy, eggs and cheese; fresh produce; meat and poultry; pantry; and seafood, fish and aquaculture.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Limestone Coast Producer Directory is going to be a wonderful tool for consumers and retailers to explore the array of fresh and value-added produce in their own backyard, and to link directly to the producer business,\u201d Ms England said. \u201cFood and Agri-Tourism are becoming ever more popular, this sector plays an increasingly important role in attracting more visitors to the Limestone Coast. We have so much to share in our region, known for its diversity and abundance, whether its grapes or grain, lamb or lobster, or the array of artisan, hand crafted produce. We want to share this with the world, and the Limestone Coast Producer Directory is one tool we can use to do this. Telling the provenance story of each business, providing contact details to link consumers and retailers directly to producers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Producer Directory currently features a small number of listings as it launches, and the Cluster is seeking to grow the directory to become the most comprehensive \u201cone-stop guide\u201d for all Limestone Coast producers.
