BELL Studio of Highland Dance students Lucy Edwards and Tilly Salmon recently returned from a whirlwind trip to the USA, performing with OzScot Australia at the Virginia International Tattoo in Norfolk, Virginia.<\/p>\n
Both girls learnt the choreography online, before joining dancers from Australia and New Zealand in Virginia for intensive rehearsals before performing in six shows over four days.<\/p>\n
Principal Katie Edwards was thrilled that Lucy and Tilly were selected to perform in another overseas Tattoo, after dancing with OzScot Australia at the Basel Tattoo in Switzerland last year.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese experiences build memories that will last forever for these girls,\u201d Katie said. \u201cIt takes a lot of effort and commitment to learn the choreography online and then to practice without the rest of the team, but Lucy and Tilly take it all in their stride and just get the job done.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe performances were spectacular, and I couldn\u2019t be more proud of the girls for their dancing and conduct whilst representing the studio and Mount Gambier in another international event.\u201d<\/p>\n
Both girls were also grateful for yet another wonderful international experience showcasing and developing their skills at the highest level.<\/p>\n
\u201cGetting to perform in the Virginia International Tattoo was an unforgettable experience that I will cherish forever,\u201d Tilly said.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was an incredible experience; the production was high quality and centred on celebrating 175 of the US navy,\u201d Lucy said. \u201cIt was so special too, that the massed pipe bands played Waltzing Matilda for the OzScot dancers, to commemorate ANZAC Day.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
