MOUNT Gambier\u2019s passion for the Big Freeze continues, with team members and customers at Coles Mount Gambier raising more than $38,000 in just over six weeks for FightMND.<\/p>\n
It sees the store again featured in the Top 10 fundraisers across the nation and the top South Australian store.<\/p>\n
Nationally, Coles Group raised a total of more than $8 million for Big Freeze 11, thanks to the generous support of customers who helped the cause by buying a Big Freeze Beanie or made a donation at the checkout.<\/p>\n
Coles Mount Gambier continues to be a shining light in the FightMND campaign and the team at the local store committed to again make sure they were one of the leading fundraisers nationwide, adding their own staff fundraising efforts, as well as organising raffles to ensure the community had plenty of ways of contributing to the cause.<\/p>\n
The Mount Gambier store has now raised more than $200,000 since 2020.<\/p>\n
Funds raised help give hope and support to thousands of Australians living with MND, including FightMND co-founder and AFL legend Neale Daniher, who earlier this year was recognised for his inspiration and tireless work in the community with the Australian of the Year award.<\/p>\n
