MAMMA Mia! the smash hit musical based on the songs from ABBA is coming to The Hamilton and Alexandra College stage on August 7-9.<\/p>\n

More than 60 million people worldwide have fallen in love with the characters, the story and the music that make Mamma Mia! the ultimate feel-good show and now it is coming to Hamilton.<\/p>\n

You are invited to experience this a joyful performance of music, laughter, and drama as The Hamilton and Alexandra College Senior School presents Mamma Mia!<\/p>\n

Mamma Mia! revolves around Sophie, a young bride-to-be who dreams of having her father walk her down the aisle.<\/p>\n

As the story unfolds, secrets are revealed, relationships are rekindled, and the Greek island becomes a backdrop for love, laughter, and self-discovery.<\/p>\n

The Head of Drama and Musical Director at The Hamilton and Alexandra College Angela Kenna said the buzz and timeless appeal of ABBA\u2019s classic hits had students instantly excited to be part of Mamma Mia!, with many already familiar with the music and story.<\/p>\n

\u201cMamma Mia! is a celebration of family and friendship, so the students quickly connected with the story line,\u201d Miss Kenna said. \u201cABBA\u2019s timeless songs, combined with a large cast, plenty of laughs, and explosive dance routines, guarantee a fun-filled performance for the audience to enjoy and just might have you dancing along in your seat.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith students from Year 7 to Year 12 working together to bring the story to life, it is wonderful to witness the mentorship provided by the older students to their younger peers. Seeing students come together as a team to deliver energetic and captivating performances is truly special.<\/p>\n

\u201cSinging, acting, and dancing simultaneously is no easy feat, and the students can\u2019t wait to share this high energy musical with the community. This is a performance all ages with enjoy.\u201d<\/p>\n

There will be three evening performances, Thursday 7, Friday 8 and Saturday, August 9, and one matinee on Saturday, August 9.<\/p>\n

There is also an ABBA-so-lutely delicious high tea option with the Saturday matinee so that people can enjoy a Mamma Mia! day out.<\/p>\n
