WATTLE RANGE Council is now inviting applications for the 2025\/2026 Community Infrastructure Grants, as well as the first round of the Community Financial Assistance Grants, and Sport & Recreation Financial Assistance Grants.<\/p>\n
Wattle Range Mayor Des Noll said these grants let council promote and support the establishment of strong, sustainable clubs and volunteer organisations throughout the Wattle Range Council area.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey aim to strengthen community connection and sustainability by supporting initiatives that encourage health and wellbeing, increase access and inclusion, and boost community participation,\u201d Mayor Noll said.<\/p>\n
In addition to these current grant rounds, council continues to offer a range of ongoing grants designed to support different segments of our community.<\/p>\n
Youth Development Grants help young people participate in events at the state, national or international level by offering financial contributions toward related expenses.<\/p>\n
Youth Education and Leadership Grants assist young people in pursuing further education or training opportunities.<\/p>\n
The Public Art on Private Assets Grants encourage businesses, organisations, and property owners to enhance their spaces through commissioned public artwork.<\/p>\n
Last year, the Community Infrastructure Grants program supported projects such as the construction of the Mt Burr Netball Club storage shed, an extension for Millicent Craft Group, and toilet facilities at the Glencoe Football Club.<\/p>\n
These types of projects demonstrate the real and lasting benefits these grants bring to the community.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese grants and scholarships are not just about funding, they are about creating a more connected, inclusive, and vibrant community,\u201d Mayor Noll said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhether it\u2019s upgrading sporting facilities, organising a community event, or supporting local youth to achieve their goals, Council is here to help turn ideas into reality.<\/p>\n
\u201cCouncil\u2019s Grants and Sponsorships are aligned with our Strategic Plan and are designed to assist with a wide range of community-led initiatives.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cFrom infrastructure improvements to arts and cultural projects, facility and accessibility upgrades and signature events, they empower the community to make a meaningful and lasting impact.<\/p>\n
