THE Mount Gambier Eisteddfod Speech and Drama Division faced a last minute challenge when the contracted adjudicator had to withdraw due to ill health.<\/p>\n
Fortunately former local, now Adelaide based teacher Louise Borgo stepped up to the plate at the last minute.<\/p>\n
The two day event saw children and adults performed poetry, readings, impromptus and drama at the Wehl Street Theatre and the audience were delighted with the standard of performance and the many competitors were excited to be there.<\/p>\n
The major winners were for high potential – Natalie Harjai, Best Primary Performance – Word Relish and Lakes Rotary Blue Lake Fun Run Scholarship and the Stan Elliot Award for most outstanding competitor was Maya Boyington.<\/p>\n
