WATTLE Range Council is pleased to announce that entries are now open for the annual\u202fWattle Range Photographic Competition, inviting photographers of all skill levels, to capture and celebrate the unique character of our region.<\/p>\n
Now in its 18th year, the competition has grown into one of South Australia\u2019s most significant photographic events.<\/p>\n
First held in 2007, the exhibition has become a much-anticipated showcase of local talent, attracting more than 400 entries annually and offering more than $3500 in prize money across 11 categories.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s judging panel includes two representatives from the South Australian Photographic Federation, including the president, ensuring a high standard of evaluation and recognition.<\/p>\n
Photographers are encouraged to submit images that reflect the vibrancy and diversity of the Wattle Range Council area. Categories include\u202fPeople, Places, Business & Industry, and Sport & Leisure, with all entries required to be taken within the council boundaries.<\/p>\n
Selected photographs will be featured in the highly sought-after\u202fWattle Range Council Community Calendar, which saw 5000 copies printed last year.<\/p>\n
These images may also be used in Council publications, reports, and promotional materials, offering photographers valuable exposure and the opportunity to contribute to the visual identity of the region.<\/p>\n
Entries can be submitted online, via email or delivered to the library on a USB.<\/p>\n
Participants from last year who have not yet collected their USBs or printed copies of winning entries are invited to do so at the library.<\/p>\n
Library and cultural services manager Janice Nitschke said they look forward to receiving this year\u2019s entries and continuing to grow the Wattle Range Photographic Exhibition.<\/p>\n
