{"id":1583,"date":"2022-12-21T13:17:16","date_gmt":"2022-12-21T13:17:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/mtgambiertimes\/?p=1583"},"modified":"2023-11-02T13:19:31","modified_gmt":"2023-11-02T13:19:31","slug":"plenty-of-school-holiday-fun-to-be-had-in-wattle-range","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/mtgambiertimes\/news\/plenty-of-school-holiday-fun-to-be-had-in-wattle-range\/","title":{"rendered":"Plenty of school holiday fun to be had in Wattle Range"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Wattle Range Council ihas announced the summer \u2018Full Throttle in Wattle\u2019 school holiday program which will include the reinvigoration of \u2018Coastal Connections\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>The exciting schedule of activities, which will be delivered to school aged children across Wattle Range, was outlined by council\u2019s manager libraries and cultural services Janice Nitschke.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe holiday fun will commence on Saturday, December 17, when we launch the Summer Reading Club program at the Millicent Library with a range of Christmas craft activities,\u201d Mrs Nitschke said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring the pre-Christmas week the team at the library have planned a collection of Christmas crafting projects, as well as the ever popular Green Screen, VRs, Nintendo Switch and XBox games.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring January, they will have Science Fun on Wednesdays along with the suite of innovative technology for all, including augmented reality..<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOutside of the library, other \u2018Full Throttle\u2019 activities include tie dying, Come &#038; Try Golf, kite making, leather &#038; beeswax workshops and more.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe final event will be at the Millicent Swimming Lake, featuring the inflatable obstacle course, live music and games on Wednesday, 25, January 2023.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFollowing repeated requests from the community, Wattle Range Council is thrilled to support the return of the former Coastal Connection Program, with Rockpool Rambles and sessions on Indigenous culture, creatures of the night walk, estuary discovery and shorebirds.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bookings for activities are essential, and can be made via Eventbrite at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.com\/cc\/full-throttle-in-wattle-school-holiday-prog-1458939\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.eventbrite.com\/cc\/full-throttle-in-wattle-school-holiday-prog-1458939<\/a> or 8733 0903 for Library activities.<\/p>\n<p>For all other events enquiries call the Millicent Visitor Information Centre on (08)8733 0904.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wattle Range Council ihas announced the summer \u2018Full Throttle in Wattle\u2019 school holiday program which will include the reinvigoration of \u2018Coastal Connections\u2019.
