Sporting clubs and community groups across the District Council of Grant are encouraged to apply for up to $5000 in co-funding through Round 1 of the 2025-2026 Community Grants Scheme now open.<\/p>\n

District Council of Grant Mayor Kylie Boston said the scheme continues to provide valuable support for local projects and events that enhance community wellbeing and participation.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis program helps our community groups deliver meaningful projects that bring people together, support healthier lifestyles and strengthen local connections,\u201d Mayor Boston said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhether it\u2019s hosting an inclusive community event, improving facilities or upgrading equipment, council is proud to partner with local organisations to make these initiatives come to life.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Community Grants Scheme aims to support projects that:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Respond to identified community needs<\/p>\n

\u2022 Build stronger and more connected communities<\/p>\n

\u2022 Encourage partnerships with Council<\/p>\n

\u2022 Make effective use of local resources and promote sustainable programs<\/p>\n

Three grant categories are available to incorporated not-for-profit organisations:<\/p>\n

Category Maximum Contribution Funding Ratio Community Groups Up to $3,000 75% Council \/ 25% applicant Up to $5,000 50% Council \/ 50% applicant Sporting Clubs Up to $3,000 75% Council \/ 25% applicant Up to $5,000 50% Council \/ 50% applicant Community Participation Up to $500 100% Council \/ 0% applicant<\/p>\n

Projects eligible under the scheme may include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n

\u2022 Safety or security enhancements<\/p>\n

\u2022 Amenity and infrastructure upgrades<\/p>\n

\u2022 Facility renovations \u2022<\/p>\n

Community events promoting inclusion and connection<\/p>\n

\u2022 New or expanded club programs<\/p>\n

District Council of Grant CEO Darryl Whicker said the scheme contributes to the building of stronger communities within the district.<\/p>\n

\u201cCouncil is committed to supporting local groups to build on their strengths,\u201d Mr Whicker said. \u201cThese grants provide practical assistance to help organisations grow and continue delivering opportunities for social participation and wellbeing across our district.<\/p>\n

\u201cGrant applications will be assessed on a rolling basis. Projects with merit will be awarded as they are received, therefore early applications are vital.\u201d<\/p>\n
