ANOTHER week, another signing for the OneFortyOne Mount Gambier Pioneers with Lara Edmanson set to join the women\u2019s program for the 2026 NBL1 South season.<\/p>\n
Edmanson hails from Melbourne and has developed a strong r\u00e9sum\u00e9 through her collegiate career in the United States with both the Santa Clara Broncos and the Villanova Wildcats.<\/p>\n
At Santa Clara, Edmanson started 30 of 32 games in the 2022-23 season, averaging 10.6 points and 5.7 rebounds per game, shooting an outstanding 55.3 % from the field.<\/p>\n
In her senior year at Villanova in 2023-24 she averaged 7.7 points and 3.7 rebounds per contest across 34 games.<\/p>\n
Marking her consistency and versatility, Edmanson stands out as a forward who can score efficiently, rebound reliably and contributes in multiple facets of the game.<\/p>\n
Her international experience and strong basketball IQ align perfectly with the Pioneers\u2019 ambition to build depth and quality in the women\u2019s program heading into next year.<\/p>\n
Head coach Matt Sutton said Lara plays with a great energy for the game and her team.<\/p>\n
