CHAMPIONSHIP triples were the titles up for grabs earlier this month at Robe Bowling Club.<\/p>\n
The weather was quite windy with the sun hiding behind the clouds throughout the day.<\/p>\n
The men\u2019s competition started early this morning with just one match in the first round starting at 9.30am with all other teams having a bye.<\/p>\n
Peter Roachock\u2019s team had a good win against Harold Manton\u2019s crew, with the most amazing heads, that kept the spectators on the edge of their seats.<\/p>\n
Peter\u2019s team continued their very good bowls to win through the second round and head straight to the final.<\/p>\n
David Robinson\u2019s side also showed fine form to win through to the final match and , in the end, it was the Peter Roachock, Peter (Chubb) Gregory and Josh Waddell combination that won the Club Champion Triples title.<\/p>\n
Only four teams of ladies competing for the title with Fleur Roachock\u2019s team taking on Heidi Gribble\u2019s team in the first clash.<\/p>\n
It was all square after 15 ends so an extra end had to be played with Fleur\u2019s team winning by three shots.<\/p>\n
Maria Cooper\u2019s team played Robbie Dahler\u2019s team in the other game and it was also a very close encounter with Robbie\u2019s team winning through to the final.<\/p>\n
Robbie Dahler, Carolyn McCusker and Valma Jennings then combined to take out the final and be crowned triples champions.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
