GLENELG Shire Council\u2019s new SportsBox lockers are off to a fantastic start, with community members eagerly making the most of the free sports equipment now available at the Portland Foreshore and Island Park in Casterton.<\/p>\n
Throughout December, the lockers recorded around 200 equipment hires and more than 70 hours of equipment use across both locations, a clear sign that locals and visitors are actively utilising the easy access to sporting equipment.<\/p>\n
The strong early use reflects the community\u2019s enthusiasm for simple, accessible recreation opportunities. The SportsBox lockers have added fresh energy to our play spaces, offering a fun and effortless way for people of all ages to stay active while spending time at two of Glenelg Shire\u2019s most popular outdoor locations.<\/p>\n
The lockers are simple to use, making it easier than ever for residents and visitors to enjoy spontaneous, healthy activities across the Shire.<\/p>\n
