SENIOR students at St Martins Lutheran College are settling into a new chapter of campus life with the opening of the Senior Student Hub, now fully operational and in use since the beginning of the school year.<\/p>\n
The purpose-built facility has been designed as a dedicated home base for senior students, providing spaces that support study, connection and wellbeing as students move through the final stage of their schooling.<\/p>\n
Designed to bring learning, support services and student amenities together, the hub provides a cohesive environment for senior students under one roof.<\/p>\n
Across two levels, the building includes a mix of modern classrooms, collaborative study spaces and informal gathering areas.<\/p>\n
A forum and student lounge, complete with a heat and eat kitchen, provide students with areas to relax, work independently or connect with peers throughout the day.<\/p>\n
The hub also accommodates a Student Centre, along with staff offices, strengthening access to academic and pastoral support.<\/p>\n
Principal Alan Connah said the opening of the Senior Student Hub represents an important investment in senior students and the way they learn.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur senior years are a time of increasing independence and responsibility,\u201d Mr Connah said. \u201cThe hub has been designed to reflect that transition, giving students a space that feels purposeful, supportive and aligned with the way they learn and interact. It\u2019s encouraging to see how quickly the students have embraced the space as their own.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Senior Student Hub represents an investment of more than $10 million, of which $1million was generously funded under the Australian Government\u2019s Capital Grants Program.<\/p>\n
The Hub forms part of the college\u2019s long term master plan and reflects the school\u2019s commitment to provide contemporary learning environments to meet the needs of students in the Limestone Coast.<\/p>\n
The project was delivered in partnership with Mossop Construction + Interiors and DesignInc Adelaide, and reinforces the College\u2019s focus on high quality learning, innovation and pastoral care.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
