Parents and carers across the Limestone Coast are invited to a special community screening of SEEN: The Film, a powerful and heartfelt documentary exploring how our own stories, stress, and healing shape the way we parent.<\/p>\n

Blending neuroscience, real experiences, and compassionate insight, the film offers a gentle reminder that when parents feel supported and understood, families thrive.<\/p>\n

This free event will be held Wednesday, February 25 from 6pm at The Dress Circle, located upstairs at The Riddoch, Mount Gambier.<\/p>\n

With no children in attendance, event hosts ac.care and Department of Human Services (DHS) have designed the night as a warm, calming space to pause, breathe, and reconnect with yourself and others who share similar experiences.<\/p>\n

\u201cParents and carers often carry so much – emotionally, mentally, and physically,\u201d DHS Safer Family Services Community Development Coordinator Kerrin Donnelly said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis film creates space for people to feel seen and understood, and to realise they\u2019re not alone in the challenges or the joys of raising children,\u201d Ms Donnelly said.<\/p>\n

Importantly, it also helps spark broader community conversations about how we recognise, support and show up for parents, because raising children is not something families should have to do in isolation.\u201d<\/p>\n

ac.care\u2019s Mount Gambier Family Relationship Centre team will be present on the night to welcome attendees, offer conversation, and connect families with local support options.<\/p>\n

ac.care family advisor Briana Seager said the documentary\u2019s themes align closely with agency\u2019s commitment to strengthening families.<\/p>\n

\u201cSEEN highlights the importance of compassion, self\u2013awareness, and healing in parenting,\u201d Ms Seager said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe hope this screening encourages people to take a moment for themselves and feel supported by their community.\u201d<\/p>\n

Supported by the City of Mount Gambier, the event will include light refreshments and an opportunity to reflect and connect following the 73-minute documentary screening<\/p>\n
