{"id":18243,"date":"2026-03-14T04:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-03-13T17:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/mtgambiertimes\/?p=18243"},"modified":"2026-03-11T16:52:16","modified_gmt":"2026-03-11T05:52:16","slug":"be-part-of-a-fringe-record","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/timesnewsgroup.com.au\/mtgambiertimes\/news\/be-part-of-a-fringe-record\/","title":{"rendered":"Be part of a Fringe record"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>RUTH Stephenson and Pariya Ziakas have been running Sip &amp; Paint events since joining forces in their art practice BeArtiful and on March 21 the duo is hoping to set a South Australian record.<\/p>\n<p>Mount Gambier\u2019s Lenny\u2019s Lounge is set to host the event that Ruth and Pariya are hoping will hit the 100 mark with the Sip &amp; Paint being part of the returning Fringe Mount Gambier program.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs far as we can tell nothing in South Australia has come close to 100,\u201d Pariya said.<\/p>\n<p>A previous BeArtiful Mount Gambier Rail Lands session attracted 50 and the duo see no reason why they can\u2019t hit that magical century mark.<\/p>\n<p>Running from 6-9pm, with the doors opening at 5pm, a ticket will allow you access to a step-by-step fun and messy painting session with all supplies included; pizza and a complimentary beverage on arrival and a fun evening with friends and a work of art to take home.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe just want people to try something different,\u201d Pariya said. \u201cWe are trying to target a new audience and get people to experience something different.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Participants can either follow the step-by-step instruction in the session or create their own work \u2013 there are three different guided art works (pictured) on offer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are trying to put visual arts on the platform,\u201d Pariya said. \u201cIt\u2019s about the experience and being part of an event and celebrating that Fringe is back.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe don\u2019t have access to a lot of these type of events that Fringe can offer so we need to support them \u2013 if you want Fringe to stay you need to get behind it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want this to be a FOMO event.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tickets are available from <a href=\"http:\/\/beartiful.com.au\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">beartiful.com.au<\/a> and are $120.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RUTH Stephenson and Pariya Ziakas have been running Sip &amp; Paint events since joining forces in their art practice BeArtiful and on March 21 the duo is hoping to set a South Australian record.
