AUTUMN is certainly bringing different weather patterns, with very warm conditions on the Tuesday and then very wet, windy conditions on the Wednesday for the 24 women teeing off in the fourth and final round of the RSL sponsored Summer Cup not deterred by the elements.<\/p>\n
The format was stableford having previously played stroke and par rounds with the final results determined from the best three out of the four rounds.<\/p>\n
The score of the day came from Division Two\u2019s Beryl Mahoney, who is in a purple patch of late, and her magic 41 points was another to write home about.<\/p>\n
The Division One winner was Annette Ford with a very respectable score of 36 points playing to her handicap of 25.<\/p>\n
Ford had par three pointers on the 4th and 5th holes on the front nine, another two three point pars on the 15th and 16th with unfortunately a pickup on the 18th.<\/p>\n
Runner up was Karen Panagopoulos posting 34 points off her 21 handicap with splits of 16\/18 including par three pointers on the 1st, 2nd, 15th and 17th holes and one pickup.<\/p>\n
Third was Rosemary Martland with 33 points off her 12 handicap after splits of 17\/16 with pars on the 2nd, 5th, 15th and 18th.<\/p>\n
Winner of Division Two, Beryl Mahoney played off a 33 handicap scoring three three pointers in her front nine 19 points, one a par on the 3rd, with four three-pointers in her back nine 22 points and no pickups.<\/p>\n
Runner up was Trudy-Anne Doyle signing for 35 points off her 37 handicap with two three-pointers and a four point par on the 2nd in her front nine 17 points, then in her back-nine 18 points there were another two three pointers and a four point par on the 15th.<\/p>\n
Third on the podium was Lesley McPherson with 34 points off her 33 handicap.<\/p>\n
Splits of 17\/17 included four three-pointers on the front nine and two three pointers and a four pointer on the back-nine.<\/p>\n
The ball rundown included Division 1 Geraldine Scott 33, Helen Stratford 31 countback, Sue Agars 31, Division 2 Lyn Annand 32 and Vivienne Wilson 31.<\/p>\n
Nearest to the pin 2nd shot on the 2nd winners were Agars (in hole) and Annand (.31).<\/p>\n
Pro-shot winner was Janine Dunn (4.78).<\/p>\n
Birdies scored by Agars 2nd and Dunn 5th.<\/p>\n
Chip-in ferrets for Dianne Perryman 3rd, Vivienne Wilson 7th, Bev Pascoe 13th and Lee Anderson 14th.<\/p>\n
