IT was a gloomy start to the 3rd Round of the Metro Bakery and Cafe Sponsored Silver Salver last week as 26 women teed up with the sun shining through by mid morning.<\/p>\n
The format was par and as any golfer can attest to it is one of the most disliked of golf games as it doesn\u2019t allow for many mistakes, some would say it is a true testament to one\u2019s handicap.<\/p>\n
Division One winner, women\u2019s captain Ronda Edwards would have been happy with finishing all square to her 17 handicap after scoring a par plus on the 5th, birdie on 11th and par plus on 15th in the mixed.<\/p>\n
Runner up was club handicapper Geraldine Scott signing for -1 off her 29 handicap after a par plus on the 1st, two pickups with the rest of holes all square.<\/p>\n
Third on the podium after a countback with Scott was Jaynee Oberer also -1 after +1 on the outward nine and -2 on the inward nine.<\/p>\n
Division Two winner was Vivienne Wilson with the score of the day +3 off her 33 handicap, all square on the outward nine +3 on the inward her scorecard showing six pluses and three pickups.<\/p>\n
Runner up was Lyn Annand +2 off her 37 handicap recording seven pluses and five pick-ups.<\/p>\n
Third was Sharyn Ferguson, a new addition to the Wednesday ladies events, signing for -1 off her 40 handicap after an outward nine of -3 and inward of +2.<\/p>\n
Nearest to the pin 2nd shot winners on the 2nd were Cherryl Hill (1.14) and Sharyn Ferguson (.55).<\/p>\n
Pro-shot winner on the 5th was Helen Myers (4.30). Birdies scored by Sue Agars 1st, Ronda Edwards 11th and chip-in ferrets were recorded by Lesley McPherson 11th and Agars 14th. BB9 Wilson.<\/p>\n
